GERAK USRAH (GU), 26 Ramadhan 1419/14 Januari 1999. Sebuah gerakan Islam, Al-Hizbul Islami (HIZBI) United Kingdom dan Eire yang majoriti ahlinya ialah pelajar Malaysia, mengutamakan program usrah untuk mentarbiah ahli-ahli mereka.

Setiap unit usrah itu dipimpin oleh naqib/naqibah yang telah diberi kursus (tamrin), kata sumber HIZBI. Menurut sumber itu lagi, usrah dan tamrin itu dibuka juga kepada bukan ahli. Sumber itu menambah, melalui tarbiah seperti itu HIZBI berjaya melahirkan teknokrat hizbullah yang istiqamah dan bersungguh-sungguh dalam perjuangan.

HIZBI United Kingdom dan Eire dirasmikan penubuhannya oleh Menteri Besar Kelantan, Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, pada bulan Jun 1991 di Didsbury Mosque, Manchester.

Political Mind

Since its establishment, HIZBI has undergone through a sprectrum of tribulations. The "Education on Islamic Politics Ideology" agenda that has been upheld by HIZBI till now has succeeded in training each of its members towards bringing Islam back to its former glory in Malaysia. HIZBI chose this agenda on basis that politics is one of the most important element in ensuring that Allah's laws and commandments are implemented. This is infact a duty of all mankind, that is "implementing the addin, and ruling the world with the addin".

Activities

Quite aware of the importance of that every individual should receive education which is parallel with Islamic virtues, HIZBI gives special attention towards usrah and tamrin programs. Every usrah of HIZBI is leaded by a naqib or naqibah or a group of suitable nuqaba. These nuqba will in turn receive the training for them to be competent mentors for the mad'u through special courses and tamrins. Besides that, a few tamrin has also been organised according to necessity. Many of the usrahs and tamrins organised by HIZBI are not only for it's members - non-members are more then welcomed and are often invited. HIZBI also organises seasonal gatherings during holidays in the United Kingdom and Eire. The largest gathering organised by HIZBI is the Winter Gathering in December. All programs organised by HIZBI has been carefully designed so that the "Education of Islamic Politics Ideology" takes place seemlessly.

To ensure the success of each and every HIZBI activity, HIZBI has a guideline called Manhaj Tarbiyyah to be strictly followed by the organising committee of the particular activity. The Manhaj Tarbiyyah guideline has been fabricated by encompassing the situation and reality of life of students in the United Kingdom and Eire, and also by referering to scholars in Islam who are they themselves in the struggle to glorify Islam in Malaysia. This is to develope among HIZBI members the sense of reality of the endeavour to be faced back in our homeland. Untill now, HIZBI's Manhaj Tarbiyyah has succeeded in producing Hizbullah Technocrats that are consistent and full of determination in the struggle for Islam.
